JOB PURPOSE - Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Allied Health Services, the Occupational Therapist (OT) will work in coordination with clinic staff to help patients improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environment.

 GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - The OT will work with patients who have conditions that are mentally, physically, developmentally or emotionally disabling. The OT will work with clinic staff and patients to establish creative plans of care that reduce potential for injury and allow patients to improve their quality of life. The OT will supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants as needed.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum qualifications for this position are a Master's degree, occupational therapist licensure and 5 years of experience.


  1. Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to determine the patient's physical condition, limitations, medical history and personal goals.
  2. Communicate with clinic staff to confirm plans of care.
  3. Advise patient's family members and other supportive individuals regarding the level of care for the patient.
  4. Provide OT guidance, support and education during patient sessions.
  5. Instruct patient how to interact with adaptive technology and how to use assistive devices.
  6. Guide patient through graded activities.
  7. Generate documentation for patient and patient files.
  8. Other duties as assigned.
