JOB FUNCTION - Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Allied Health, the Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) will provide medically necessary mental health treatment services to patients experiencing social, emotional, behavioral and psychiatric issues.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - The LPC will provide assessments, treatment planning and individual, family and/or group therapy for patients. This individual will also be responsible for collaborative case management and monitoring and supervision of assigned patient cases.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum qualifications for this Master's degree along with professional counselor licensure and a minimum of five years related experience.


  1. Evaluate behavioral and emotional issues of patient and develop specific behavior modification plan.
  2. Conduct psycho-educational assessments.
  3. Conduct family assessments.
  4. Identify presenting problem and develop comprehensive treatment plan.
  5. Provide individual, family and group therapy in accordance with patient's treatment plan.
  6. Observe and document treatment interventions, behaviors and patient progression.
  7. Develop and maintain a current list of resources that include self-help and support groups to ensure comprehensive services are available to patient and family.
  8. Other duties as assigned.
